Sustainable

About

At Yanmar Sunset Marina, we strive to create a sustainable future by promoting a resource recycling cycle with minimal environmental impact. We focus on the sustainability of "food" and "energy" and actively promote local production for local consumption in both areas.

Food Food Resource Recycling

At Yanmar Sunset Marina, we are building a sustainable resource recycling cycle.
Food waste from the facility's restaurant and aquatic plants collected from Lake Biwa are composted, and the organic fertilizer is used to grow vegetables, which are then served again at the restaurant. Experience this cycle in harmony with the local environment through food.

Composter

Food waste from the restaurant and aquatic plants from Lake Biwa are processed into soil activators and compost, reducing disposal costs while being environmentally friendly.

Energy Utilization of Renewable Energy

We are reducing power consumption through energy efficiency and green energy use. Our energy management system optimizes supply while reinvesting natural energy back into the facility. By protecting the environment and supporting the local community, we aim for a sustainable marina.

Solar Power

Solar panels on facility rooftops generate renewable energy, helping reduce reliance on purchased electricity.

Wind Power

The LCD panel displaying wind direction and speed is powered by wind and solar energy. It serves as a symbol of the marina and a useful tool for marine activity enthusiasts.
